So How to keep our Fish Happy & Alive for long time and also keep alive our Aquarium Hobby ?
1.) Feed regularly on same timing and quantity everyday whether once/twice daily as per your wish, but maintain that. Yes you can choose Any one day of fasting for them. Means skip feeding them once a week, it will keep them metabolism perfect.
2. Provide them variety of foods, easily go through the various flakes available in market.
3. Filter pump should be continously ON, only during feeding turn off and as soon as they finish their meal turn ON pump. Don’t think that pump will be damage because keeping fish alive is more important than pump. Remember Fish is priority in Aquarium Hobby not their accessories.Sponge filters are the best options for most of the fish it gives a surface to grow Beneficial Bacteria and also keeps water still as compare to internal power filter which increase the stress to fish.
4. 10-20% water change once a week. To keep water quality best water change every week is best but not more than 20% once a week. Or 30-40% once in 15 days. But whenever water change always add 5-10 drop of blue methyl solution in 40 litre tank. Also add 5ml of Beneficial bacteria in every alternate water change is good for fish health especially if fish fins are not growing well or more water bloom is seen after water change. Because Beneficial bacteria will maintain the nitrogen cycle of water.
5. Various plants are also available to maintain nitrogen cycle of water, Yes as a Riparium Aquarium setup we can have a multiple plants which not only maintain the water quality by maintaining nitrogen cycle but also it will enhance the Aquarium looks. But remember primary and main reason of plants should be maintaining water quality, so keep leaf put of the water otherwise leaf will Rotten and will increase the water waste.
